GRASSROOTS EVOLUTION
About The Grassroots Evolution
The Grassroots Evolution is a literary project rooted in poetry, social reflection, and the belief that a better world must first be imagined before it can be built.
Created by writer Bridget Lacey, the project began as a response to the crises of our time - rising inequality, ecological breakdown, political division, and the erosion of compassion in public life. At its heart is The Grassroots Revolution, a long-form poetic manifesto that explores the systems shaping our world and calls for a more just, courageous, and cooperative future.
Blending art, language, and vision, The Grassroots Evolution invites readers to reflect more deeply on the world we have inherited - and the world we still have the power to create. Its themes include democracy, economic justice, environmental responsibility, collective care, non-violence, and the urgent need to move beyond fear, greed, and division.
What began as a single body of poetic work is growing into something larger: a creative platform for writing, education, reflection, and public imagination. Over time, The Grassroots Evolution may expand to include essays, learning resources, and other tools designed to help people engage more thoughtfully with the challenges of this era and the possibilities for transformation.
This project is grounded in the belief that change does not begin only in institutions. It also begins in language, in courage, in vision, and in the willingness of ordinary people to imagine differently.
The Grassroots Evolution exists to contribute to that work - through words, through beauty, and through a steadfast belief that a better future is still possible.
