A Vision for a Better World: Grassroots Goals

In order to create the world we want, we must first envision it. By picturing the future, we can map out a plan to bring that vision to life.

A World at Peace

Imagine a world where peace prevails. Global poverty reduction measures have increased security, and people have returned to rebuilding their communities. The era of terrorism is over, and we've come to understand that we are all connected. No longer do we fight our neighbors and loved ones. Weapons are melted down, bombs are deactivated, and arms production ceases. We have stopped fueling war and violence.

Work-Life Balance and Well-Being

Now, envision a world where we work only 3.5 days a week while maintaining a living wage. Advances in technology reduce the need for human labor, giving us more time for rest, creativity, and family. Instead of sacrificing two-thirds of our days to work, we only need half, resulting in improved mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Creativity thrives, families receive the attention they deserve, and life becomes more fulfilling.

Democracy for the People

Picture a democracy where every vote truly counts. Elections are held with Proportional Representation, ensuring a government that considers diverse perspectives and prevents any group from wielding unchecked power. An elected Senate replaces patronage appointments with accountability, bringing integrity to decision-making.

Citizen Engagement

Petitions and referendums are easily accessible via electronic signatures, empowering citizens to voice their concerns and vote on key issues through their smartphones. Every decision is a chance for the people to shape the future.

Corporate Responsibility

Corporations are held to strict environmental and labor standards, both domestically and globally, ensuring that their operations support society and the planet. Mandatory living wages, adjusted for inflation, guarantee no one is left in poverty. Corporate taxation is aligned with profits, closing loopholes and eliminating tax havens that drain resources from our social systems.

Social Safety Net

A robust safety net supports those in need, whether dealing with illness, unemployment, or the challenges of aging. No one is left behind, ensuring dignity and care for all citizens.

Sustainable Agriculture and Land Reclamation

Across cities and rural areas, people are planting and tending to regenerative food crops. Urban community gardens and innovative farming techniques are used to grow healthy food in every bioregion. The land is healed through natural reclamation, with polluted waterways and landscapes restored to health. Resilience is built through sustainable farming practices that protect crops from extreme weather.

Innovative Technologies and Clean Energy

We are developing energy technologies that support sustainable living, such as electric vehicles powered by renewable sources—solar, wind, and the Earth's electromagnetic potential. We conserve oil for necessary products like plastics, while biofuels made from hemp supplement our energy needs without depleting the planet.

Strong Communities and Public Support

In this world, communities are tightly-knit, ensuring everyone is looked after and feels a sense of belonging. Public institutions support innovation and progress, nurturing ideas in a safe and inclusive environment. Young parents are supported in nurturing their children, while children develop holistically, encouraged in their skills and talents. Elders are respected and honored for their contributions to society.

A Safe, Compassionate Society

In this future, no one fears their neighbors. People greet each other with open hearts, strangers help strangers, and there is a collective sense of safety in knowing that we belong to a healthy, caring society.

Our Path Forward

This vision is within our reach. It’s not a distant dream, but a very real future we can create by focusing on compassion and the common good. By committing to systematic change, we can move away from the precipice of destruction and set our course toward a world filled with hope, possibility, and a brighter tomorrow for future generations.
